5. Security of your personal information

I will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Of course, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and I cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the Internet. I will never ask you for any passwords or security details. 

6. Retaining and deleting personal data

Personal data that I process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes. I will retain your personal data as follows:

(a) Usage data will be retained for a maximum period of 26 months following the last date of collection.

(b) Enquiry data will be retained for a maximum period of 12 months following the last date of collection.

(c) Otherwise as set out in our Data Protection Policy and Privacy Notice for Clients.

7. About cookies

A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

(a)    functionality – I use cookies to check and record that scripting functionality is available in the browser. Scripts creates a richer and more functional user experience on the website. The cookie name is “has_js”.

(b)    security – I may use cookies as an element of the security measures used to protect user accounts, including preventing fraudulent use of login credentials, and to protect our website and services generally.

(c)    cookie consent – I use cookies to store your preferences in relation to the use of cookies more generally. Cookies used for this purpose are: “CookieConsent”.

My service providers use cookies and those cookies may be stored on your computer when you visit our website.

I use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website. Google Analytics gathers information about website use by means of cookies.
